I am not accepting any contributions, because it‘s the right thing to do. My campaign is simple. I am walking and carrying my sign to make myself available to everyone. When you stop I will listen. Your concerns will be my concerns.
I am just like an old work truck, battered and beaten and not very pleasant to look at, but life has taught me well and it is those experiences in the trenches I bring to the table.
I grew up on a farm and did my duty on a navy sub. I am a electrician and my wife cleans houses. Two of my children have served their country and my daughter is still in the army national guard, working two jobs and going to college. My youngest son is a disabled vet and doing well working in a ship yard in Virginia. My oldest son is definitely a product of Oklahoma, hard working and very independent.
Running for office is more than just getting elected. It’s about freedom. It’s about getting your voice heard. It should allow you to express your concerns without being forced to accept the corruption, (campaign contributions) that is destroying our country. People should not have to pay to be heard. You should not have to pay to be represented. The price of our freedom, the price of your voice has already been paid for in blood, we should never let a politician’s selfishness and greed tarnish that noble sacrifice.
I want to remind the politicians that this is not a game, but our lives and they have the responsibility to do no harm. The leadership provided and the laws enacted must serve a purpose other than political gain. Their allegiance must be to the people of Oklahoma and not the state chamber of commerce.
In the America I grew up in and defended said it was wrong to take advantage of people. It is wrong to hurt people. The shake of the hand meant something. That is the America I believe in. That’s the America I am fighting for. America is not one nation under business, it was created by the people, for the people and it is time we keep that promise.
All I want is a level playing field in business and as taxpayer. My goal is the lowest tax paying state in the country with the best government.
To me all politicians are like used car salesman selling you a piece junk wrapped up in a bow and as a taxpayer I am tired of paying for something that doesn’t work. The politicians didn’t get the roads, schools, and insurance fixed so the question is are you the voter going pay them for job they didn’t do?
Hire David Taylor and I will get the job done. I might have to take a few politicians on a ride down a county road to shake things up, but don’t you worry I’ll use their car.
This taxpayer has stood up now I need your vote.
We need to eliminate state income taxes on overtime. It’s time to quit punishing people who are trying to help themselves.
Tax incentive to working people that will dramatically help business.
I call this the trickle up theory and I have always believed income taxes even on the federal level was wrong on overtime. People do not work overtime for their health. They work overtime to help the company, improve their lives, and to simply pay bills. You should never punish someone who is trying to help others and themselves. Too many people are working overtime just to put food on the table. Working people can not simply vote themselves a raise, the boss has to be able to afford to give them one.
The company saves money on all the cost associated with the hiring of new employees. Companies will come here if they know they will have reduce labor costs. It will also help new companies grow, because it will encourage the employee too work overtime so the employers will be more likely to take on more business and thus hire additional employees when the company can afford it.
This will do more than all the business incentives thus far enacted.
taxation
We must have 65% voter approval of all tax increase. This will force our politicians to do their jobs and find solutions through regulation not taxation.
I trust the Oklahomans to do the right thing, the special interests groups don't.
insurance
I have no health coverage, but my main battle is affordability and fairness.
Insurance companies call it exclusions and free market, I call it discrimination and predatory. Our constitutional rights have been restricted without proper safe guards to ensure a level playing field. It’s time to fix the problem through regulation, not taxation. Too many people and groups want to further restrict our constitutional rights instead fixing the real cause of our problem. This is also occurring in workers comp and malpractice insurance.
schools
We must over haul the school system to save 20,000 kids a year. More money is not the answer, it is how we use the money is the answer. We must have the courage to reform this broken system and make it work, before another child loses hope. We must hold school boards and higher education accountable to the tax payer. We are bankrupting our society and our other critical needs are being pushed aside and in the end will destroy the very future we wish to save.
reform government
We must reform all government agencies and eliminate all programs that are not viable. I believe in reform, not change. To reform is to fix. To change to most politicians is to buy a new program with a another set of problems. In all bureaucracies over time they become inefficient and wasteful, because rules, money, and image become more important than the function. The leaders of an organization always have slightly different motivations and goals than the people they represent. It is common for leadership to be paralyzed by inaction, because it’s about who gets the blame and fear for their job. That is why you must seek out the individuals in that group to get the answers. We waste too much money on duplication of work product, problem resolutions. and a corrupt system.
