It's Time for Change. I am a long time resident of the east Tulsa area where my children attended and continue to attend Tulsa Public Schools. I have watched as our schools have struggled, and children have fallen through the cracks. Like many of you, I have sat with my children and tried to assist them with homework, without the benefit of a textbook. In many cases our children are sharing a half set of books. This means half the class is working on one thing while the rest of the class is working on something else. It makes learning more difficult when they can't study from textbooks in the evening and they can't all be on the same page during class.
I am an Independent Shaklee distributor and author. For most of my adult life I have been fortunate enough to be home with my children. However, when our financial need required additional funds, I worked outside the home. Most recently I spent 5 years with the City of Tulsa assisting people with their needs and now I seek to provide that help at the state level. My former supervisor informed me that I have a social worker mentality. I believe that is exactly what it takes if you are truly going to represent people. I understand and sympathize with your needs of the district.
I love learning and have, over the years, taken classes in several areas of interest. This desire for personal growth coupled with life experiences have enabled me to gain knowledge in insurance, assistance programs, veteran's issues, criminal justice, political science, education and transportation.
I have spent time over the last 5-6 years working with our current legislators on various bills of personal interest. Now I seek the opportunity to do the same for you.
